ELECTIVE SUBJECTS

this is what ive got from one of my year 3 friend. she's taking food science for your information and the following is what she told me.

Advance food science: basically on statistics. if good at maths, shouldnt be a problem. there's hypothesis. what we learnt in year 1 sem 2.

Food processing: I think is easy to study but also involve some calculation.

Food service management: more on practical. not much tutorial lesson.practical is fun. get to plan and manage everything such as the menu theme, work schedule, dining design, recipe... however, theory part is quite dry. got accounting.[only open one class so quite difficult to get in. year 3 still can choose]

health and wellness: project base. need to organise campaign.

community nutrition and pbpn is nutrition module if planning to go for nutrition but not easy subject.

comm nutrition: have project like doing survey all that on nutrition of different age group and need to design programme

pbpn: take if planning to go uni. its abt hap, bnf those body pathway kind

we will also be having FPQAp. this module will take up alot of time so year 2 sem 2 will be very busy.

be prepared to split class and meet new people.

go for the choice/course you want dont follow others.
